The Dirtiness Of Sin

We all know women whose homes are always immaculate and men whose offices and garages are always pristine. Those people obviously hate dirt. God is the cleanest Being that exists. He hates sin and calls it uncleanness.

Habakkuk 1:13: Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

1 Thessalonians 4:7: For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Because God hates sin He wants to eliminate it from our hearts and lives. He eliminates it from our hearts and then eliminating it from our lives should become a cooperative effort between us and Him.

Charles Svoboda: Salvation is like taking a bath on the inside; you don*t want to go out right away and get dirty again.

God and God alone purifies our hearts.

Acts 15:8-9: And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

1 John 1:9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

After He purifies our hearts He wants us to keep them clean and We can get His help in doing that by asking for it in prayer.

Matthew 6:13a: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: . . .

1 Corinthians 10:13: There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Timothy 5:22b: . . . keep thyself pure.

James 1:27: Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Praise the Lord that because He hates sin there will be none in heaven, not even in us when we get there.

Revelation 21:27: And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb*s book of life.

Jude 1:24: Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
